2014 NoLibs Stoop Show – THE WINNERS!

The 2014 Stoop Show was HUGE!

Tens of neighbors spiffed up their steps, sidewalks, and gutters to win a coveted Stoop Show trophy.

929 N. 4th Street — Wins the Shady Beauty Award.*

931 N. 4th Street — Best Barrel Garden goes to this eight-year-old contestant!*

212 W. Wildey — wins Best Tree Pit!*

945 N. American Street — is the stoop with the BEST BIRD SANCTUARY. Yes! That IS bamboo!*

237 Brown Street — was the MOST COLORFUL STOOP with its well-tended, weedless tree pit!*

700 Block of N. 3rd Street — are the most spirited, down to earth and OVER THE TOP STOOPERS!*

306 Fairmount Avenue— had the RIPEST STOOP VEGGIES!*

321 Fairmount Street — The NoLibs Rec Center kids stepped outside the stoop and won for MOST CREATIVE!*

431 Fairmount Avenue — wins the prestigious PRETTIEST STOOP AWARD for this spectacular and spotless stoop!*

713 N. 4th Street — The Stoop Show Shrub infusion shares a Best Stoop Cocktail Award. Refreshing and delicious. Ask for it!*

602 N. American Street — wins the Longest Suffering Stoop Award for graceful toleranceof their neighbor's dumpster, port-a-potty, and chain-link fence.*

823 N. Hancock Street — The Simple Beauty of this stoop along with refreshing iced-tea/lemonade drinks(that the judges guzzled) was a lovely way to end this three hour tour!*

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE...

The Best of Show Award goes to 232 W. Wildey Street!

Not only are the pots beautiful (home-made & for sale!), but there is a home-planted tree pitand a home-installed bike rack (to keep the tree from getting bike-lock damage).This is also the home of the most photographed fence in the neighborhood.

THE RULES
The first rule of Stoop Show is that you TALK about Stoop Show.
Talk smack to your neighbors and get them to compete.
You must have a stoop.
A stoop is anything you can sit on in front of your residence (this means YOU TOO, renters!).
Your display must be permanent for the rest of the summer.BUT, You may embellish your stoop with additional indoor plants, cut flowers, baked goods...
