Pruning Club is Coming to Northern Liberties!
Please join the Northern Liberties Tree Tenders for our 1st Pruning Club event
Thanks to a grant from PHS and TD Bank, we'll have tools and an arborist to lead us in pruning our Tree-Tender-planted neighborhood trees. Four pruning events will take place between now and October.During this first event, we'll prune trees along the 4th Street and Orianna Street corridors, including some on cross streets in between: Cambridge, George, Wildey, Poplar and Brown.**IF YOU HAVE A TREE TENDER PLANTED TREE IN THIS AREA, IT WILL BE PRUNED AT THIS SESSION**Questions or want us to skip your tree, please email bgoldewag@verizon.net by Sunday, July 20!If you no longer live at the tree's address, please forward the new owner's contact info.

- Help maintain the urban forest in 19123.
- Everyone is welcome! No experience is necessary! Bring a friend!
- Volunteers will include beginners, seasoned amateurs, and certified professionals.
- Volunteers will be supervised by an ISA Certified Arborist.
- Come learn proper pruning techniques and meet neighbors interested in helping beautify the neighborhood and the city.
- Pruning will focus on sidewalk and street clearance, allowing safe passage to both street and sidewalk traffic.
- We'll prune broken, dead, or diseased branches within reach and weed tree pits.
- Pruning tools will be provided and instructions on how to prune.
- Feel free to bring eye protection, gloves, and any sharp tree pruning tools you may have.
- In the event of high temperature above 95° or heavy rain, pruning club will be postponed.
