The transformations sweeping Northern Liberties during the past half century tell a dramatic tale of life, death, and rebirth. This exhibit, sponsored by the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association and curated by Northern Liberties artist Jennifer Baker, will narrate that story. Using photographs, artifacts, videos and the collected stories of the people who remember the lively postwar industrial neighborhood, the exhibition vividly illustrates the trauma of deindustrialization and depopulation and the eventual redevelopment of this uniquely Philadelphia neighborhood.View the exhibition and see additional artifacts shared by Northern Liberties residents on view for one night only in the Museum's Main Gallery, and hear the neighborhood stories they tell. Remarks by Matt Ruben, NLNA President; Jennifer Baker, artist and exhibition curator; Charles Croce, Museum Executive Director and CEO.
