Shooting on the southwest corner of Girard Avenue and Front Street

The Saint BarAfter speaking with Officer Dones from the 26th District, we can confirm that there was a shooting on the southwest corner of Girard Avenue and Front Street in front of The Saint Bar, across the street from The Gold Club. The officer could not release any other information as this is an on-going investigation.Representatives from the 26th District are scheduled to attend our neighborhood meeting on Thursday, January 22 at 7pm to answer questions about the shooting.Below is the story as reported by Philly.Com

Two shot outside strip club in Northern Liberties

Two men were shot early Saturday when a gunman fired into a crowd gathered outside a Northern Liberties strip club.A group of men began fighting in front of the Gold Club at 58 W. Girard Ave. shortly after 2:15 a.m., police said.A man fired several shots in the direction of the brawl, striking a 26-year-old man in his right thigh and left hand. A 22-year-old man was hit in his left arm and torso, according to investigators.Both victims were placed in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.

Police described the suspect as a 5-foot-6-inch tall, bearded Hispanic male. He was last seen wearing a blue and white striped hooded sweatshirt, jeans and white sneakers, police said.No arrest had been reported Saturday. An investigation remained ongoing with the East Detective Division, and authorities were reviewing tapes to see if surveillance footage of the incident was available.Anyone with information was being asked to contact Philadelphia police.
