Special NLNA Board of Directors Update

Nominations for our special election for the open Treasurer seat on the NLNA Board closed at 11:59pm on Thursday, September 10th.The Election Committee received only one nomination for Treasurer, Jacek Ghosh, who was an at-large board member. With only one nomination, no election needs to be held and Jacek becomes the new Treasurer.Also, we welcome Alex Boland, who ran for an at-large position in our May Board election to fill the at-large board vacancy.Congratulations and THANK YOU to Alex and Jacek!Thank you to the 2020 Election Committee: Barbara Saverino, Kevin Wilkins, Rick Angeli, Shelley Marcus, and Paula GanskyIn order to qualify to serve as an Officer, an individual must have served for at least one full year on the Board of Directors, and should have a working knowledge of budgets and finance.In general, Board members are expected to:

• Attend monthly Board of Directors meetings on the first Monday of each month
• Chair or help lead at least one NLNA committee or project/initiative
• Volunteer for various NLNA fundraisers and events
• Stay in active contact with other Board members via the NLNA board email list
