Meet The 2024 Music Fest Artists

Music Fest 2024 is almost here! While we’re waiting for Northern Liberties’ premier music festival, check out some fun facts about the artists.

Be sure to attend Music Fest on Saturday, June 8 to see all these great bands right here in our neighborhood!

Miss Alexis is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Melbourne, FL. She’s been in music theater since she was a kid, and has a theater degree from UCF. You can find her performing indie soul music around Philly as Ntive Flora, or teaching early childhood classes at Mr. John’s Music in Northern Liberties.

Micky, Nicky, and the Breeze are a three person band with deep Philly roots.

M, N, & TB’s fun facts:

  1. We all failed out of astronaut training school. That’s how we met.

  2. Kevin (the Breeze) Le Bris is part Dalmatian.

  3. Nick and Mike Simons were in the same advisory freshman year at Central HS.

  4. We are in talks w Elon musk to be the first band to get sent to outer space.

Ndichu is a must-see, incomparable, and unmatched experience. An original 9-piece band, Ndichu delivers a fusion of high-powered Funk, Soul, R&B, and World Music through sensational vocals, tightly wound grooves, and impressive horn lines.

Ndichu’s fun facts:

  1. Our singer Liz Ndichu was born and raised in Nairobi Kenya and started performing at a very young age

  2. Four of the members of our band were a part of Gamble and Huffs first million seller act the Soul Survivors

  3. Most of the members of our band have either toured, performed with or shared the stage with multiple national acts.

Dave Cope is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer with deep roots in the Philadelphia music scene.

Dave’s fun facts:

  1. I'm a great beat boxer

  2. I'm a mini golf enthusiast

  3. I was Cleopatra in a past life

Ken Ulansey Klezmorim is a Best of Philly by Philadelphia Magazine band, and boasts Grammy winners, Council For the Arts Winners, and more.

Ken Ulansey Klezmorim’s fun facts:

  1. We’ve been playing together since before most of you were born.

  2. By definition, Klezmer music, the festival message of Eastern European Jews as they moved around, absorbed tons of influences from the surrounding cultures. In our case, lots of jazz, latin, reggae, and funk.

  3. Feel free to dance. Or hum. Or chew gum. Or figure out the meaning of everything. If the later, please give us a clue, too!

Solomon Dub brings a positive, meditative energy while encompassing the roots and culture of reggae.
