Liberty Lands Playground Upgrade

The Liberty Lands playground was originally installed between 2000-2001 through the blood, sweat, and tears of our longest-standing and cherished volunteers. Liz Reed spearheaded the effort with a group of parents, fundraising through small events, and using the neighborhood families to do all installation. The playground has now outlived the initial expected lifespan of 20 years.

A new group of parents has rallied around the effort to update the playground and are still in the early planning stages. There will be an architectural site survey in the near future to begin the process of soliciting quotes and proposals from playground vendors.

We would like to begin a dialogue with the community regarding our wish list for a potential new playground. A survey will be sent out in the coming weeks, and we will host town hall events to keep neighbors informed on the project and solicit feedback. No decisions will be made without input from the neighborhood. We look forward to taking this journey with you like the original group who came together to build the first playground.
