Property Assessments Frozen for 2022

Due to COVID-19, the city announced today that it will forgo a citywide reassessment of all property values for Tax Year 2022. Assessments for most properties will remain unchanged from current levels set for Tax Year 2021. Only properties that had new construction, expiring abatements, renovations, subdivisions, consolidations, or errors in prior year assessments will be reassessed.

  • The Basic Systems Repair Program application is now open. It provides free repairs to correct electrical, plumbing, heating, structural and roofing emergencies in eligible owner-occupied homes in Philadelphia. Learn more and apply here.
  • The Adaptive Modifications Program application is now open. It is designed to help low-income individuals with permanent physical disabilities live more independently in their homes through free adaptations to a home. Learn more and apply here.

The Free Food Sites will continue through the fall with schedule changes. Starting this week, all food distribution will take place on Thursdays only between 10am-12pm.

Registration opens today for Supervised Connected Access Centers for Digital Learning, including a site at our local Library, the Ramonita G. de Rodriguez Library. Centers will open on September 8th and registration is required.

The COVID-19 Relief Pennsylvania Statewide Small Business Assistance Program application window ends soon - Apply before this Friday, August 28th!

The Water Shutoff Program from PWD is currently set to expire on August 31. Apply for the Water Bill Customer Assistance program here if you're struggling to pay your water bill.

The City announced that indoor dining will begin with a strict cap of 25% capacity, and many other restrictionson September 8th. On August 20, certain game venues were allowed to reopen with restrictions.

LIHEAP (Low Income Home Emergency Assistance Program) Recovery Crisis Program ends on August 31. If you've been impacted by COVID-19 and have a past-due bill, apply online for up to $800.
