Kearny Friends celebrates one year!

In one short year, we have supported Kearny Elementry School through a successful paper drive, hosted an open house to showcase the wonderful work being done at Kearny, created a media footprint, supported the Home & School Associations's annual Eat.Drink.Play event, and joined a network of "friends" groups from across the city.  Thank you to all throughout Northern Liberties who volunteered to organize and execute our events.The work continues into the 2015-16 school year.  Goals include a real estate tour (including 5 local neighborhood schools) to enhance awareness of Kearny among those moving into Northern Liberties, developer engagement and fundraising, launching a Little Kearny Friends play group, expanding ties with the NLNA, expanding the media footprint with logo, marketing and social media development, planning and planting a Kearny garden project, and launching a Lego Robotics club.All this and Kearny Friends will again hold the paper drive, host an open house and support Home & School activities.  Thinking about getting involved this year?  Want to know more?  Join us!  Contact us @ kearnyfriends@gmail.com
