In Memoriam: NLNA.org 2013-2023

The NLNA website circa 2013.

If you’re reading this, you may have noticed that things look a little different around here! It is the first of many changes you will see from the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association this year.

While we move ahead, it’s also important to look back. Long-time resident and neighbor Katrina Mansfield built the previous website exactly a decade ago after teaching herself how to write code. "This project gave me the opportunity to learn a skill, maintain and contribute to an online weekly newsletter read by thousands, and help neighbors connect with each other in a neighborhood that I came to love and call home for twenty years", Kat shared about her experience running the website.

As the template for the website aged, it became less functional over time. A new website has been about two years in the making and was recently able to move forward with the Executive Director onboard. From now on information will be easier to find, and NLNA.org will continue to be a place to learn about what’s going on in the neighborhood and how you can get involved. It will also continue to evolve with new pages and content to better serve and speak to the community.
