General Philip Kearny School
The vision of the General Philip Kearny School is to nurture and celebrate our students, staff, families, and community to achieve true success and joy in life.
Kearny, a K – 8 Public School located at 6th and Fairmount, has been granted permission to develop a City-wide admit ARTS FOCUSED MAGNET PROGRAM for grades 5 – 8 while infusing art into the general curriculum in all grades beginning in September 2015.We will provide an art-focused education offering a variety of classes and learning opportunities designed to provide our students with the skills critical for success in the 21st century. Students will be supported in becoming creative problem solvers, develop the ability to express themselves effectively, and work collaboratively.
The Magnet program is designed to develop these skills in all students, not just those who plan to pursue a future in the arts. We are currently enrolling on a fist-come first serve basis for the 2015 - 2016 school year in all grades.
