Earth Day Spring Tree Planting, Sunday, April 21!
Join your neighbors in our Earth Day Spring Tree Planting, Sunday, April 21 at 10 am!
We will be planting 12 (bare root) street trees all over Northern Liberties and a variety of plants at Madison Memorial Park (aka Dough Boy Park) at 2nd and Green Streets.Everything needed to plant will be provided.
There's something for everyone to do:
- dig holes
- hold tree while someone fills holes
- drive stakes
- tie off trees
- sweep
- clean up trash
- drive volunteers and trees (who's got a pick-up?)
- donate beer and other beverages
- bake cookies or bring a bowl of food
Then, join us for lunch and back slapping back at the Community Center!Let us know you'll be there by emailing Erika at trees@nlna.org
Tell your friends and neighbors!Busy on Sunday?We are also looking for pick up trucks and drivers to help pick up trees at the Navy Yard and mulch at Fairmount Park on Friday, April 19.
